Speed Regulation Characteristics of Variable Conductivity-based Barrel-type Permanent Magnet Eddy Current Governor

In this study, a conductivity-regulated barrel-type permanent magnet eddy current governor is proposed, and conductor barrel structure scheme consisting of four sections materials with different conductivities presented. The torque equation the equivalent conductivity as covariate was established using separation variable method based on subdomain model, function to obtain speed regulation characteristics under constant load. influence parameters studied by numerical simulation, values each section material investigated, were verified three-dimensional electromagnetic finite element simulation. results show that structural four-segment combined can realize continuous change in displacement disk, thus realizing load, characteristic segmented linearly. Compared air gap-regulated disk-type governor, has wider range, lower unloading after overload protection, start its maximum torque, enabling heavy-load starting loads, operation, protection equipment.
